Mmmmm Soft & Chewy!

What I learned this week is very, very simple: I finally learned the trick to baking yummy cookies that don't get hard as a rock as soon as they cool off.

You know what it is?

Only bake the cookies until the sides are just barely, the absolutely lightest brown possible. And, under no circumstances, do you add baking time if you can't see the slight hint of color. You will ruin the cookies.

Who knew?

Certainly not me!

Hahaha I just learned this myself! After YEARS of messing up cookies I finally read that tip somewhere and it saved my Christmas Cookie list :) Have a great week!

It is so easy to bake them to long. Another great tip for cut out cookies is to make sure they are thick enough!

And now I want cookies!

YES! My cookies always look raw when they come out of the oven, but they are so yummy the next day. :-)

Yep. Now I want cookies too. I also put mine in a container well before they get hard, so they stay soft for days. If they last for days that is.
