Late Nights and Metal Buckets

It's 3 o'clock in the morning. I'm not tired; I'm trying to think up a genius post for you. It's not going so well. I do have a couple books to review, but, after last week, I thought I'd give you a breather.

Giveaway on Friday! Yes, for a book.

Oh, I know! I read my sister's bucket list the other day (you know, that list of things you want to do before you "kick the bucket"?) It was rather entertaining. She had daring things on there, like "go white water rafting". And just plain insane things like, "get a serious injury". Yes, she's serious. I asked.

So I've started compiling my own list, because what's life without some goals? It's nowhere near the size of my sisters, and I'm not finished with it yet, but it's been fun thinking of all those things that I'd like to do. Some are simple and some are not. Some are just dumb and fun, but it makes me happy to write 'em all down and I hope I can maybe accomplish some of these things this year!

1. Go Kayaking
2. Learn to line dance (boots & hat a must!).
3. Raise goats, learn how to milk them.
4 . Have a mini pig as a pet.
5. Learn how to change my own oil.
6. Learn how to play the Banjo.
7. Raise chickens.
8. Volunteer in a homeless shelter and/or soup kitchen.
9. Make a difference.
10. Read Pride and Prejudice all the way through.
11. See the Titanic exhibit.
12. Teach my children to read.
13. Be a foster parent
14. Help a mother keep her child.
15. Be fluent in Sign Language.
16. Make my own clothes.
17. Kick the pop habit for good.
18. Visit Madam Tussuad's Wax Museum.
19. Learn to rely on God for my every need (like George Mueller)
20. Fly in a hot air balloon.
21. Say "yes" before God asks.
22. Build something.
23. Be an extreme couponer for a day.

That's all I've got right now. But I'm gonna keep adding to it.

Have you ever made a bucket list? I'd love to hear what was on it!

That is a very good list and all doable. You should be able to start checking some of them off before too long. I will consider a list and think about it.
Have a great day.

Sounds to me like maybe you should become a social worker! I believe they can be foster parents as well, (not sure just guessing) and that is an excellent opportunity to help many parents rightly keep their children when Protective Services is unjustly coming against them. Or an attorney!

You have a great list! I think it's neat that you have the chickens and the goats on there. I would have never wanted chickens until I got them (they actually scare me a little-lol), but it's SO COOL getting our own eggs! We only have 2 laying hens right now and we're getting around 10 eggs/week! When our chicks grow and start laying, we'll have 10 hens and be able to share eggs with family :-)

I like SO much of your list-it's inspiring! :-)
